Since 2015, Bangladeshi environmentalist and entrepreneur Shah Rafayat Chowdhury and his team have been dedicated to providing safe water filtration systems to communities in need across 9 districts in Bangladesh. Having served over 200,000 people, including 49,000 children, their impact is undeniable. However, as their work expands, logistical challenges prevent them from reaching the most remote communities.

Limits in public transportation and rising costs create obstacles in monitoring and expanding their essential projects, leaving the most isolated Bangladeshis at risk of frequent and often life-threatening illnesses from drinking contaminated water.

Currently, renting trucks for their operations incurs significant costs, particularly for travel to remote areas. Hired truck drivers often exploit the situation, charging higher fees than agreed upon when venturing into deep communities instead of small towns.

To overcome these challenges, Shah needs a pick-up truck for his organisation, Footsteps. This investment will not only allow the team to work with more communities and monitor existing projects effectively, but will also enable them to navigate the toughest and most distant routes. Shah also plans to employ a driver, as a skilled truck driver is crucial for navigating the dangerous roads in Bangladesh's most rural regions. Their expertise will ensure passenger safety as well as fair and consistent transportation prices. The team will also be ready to respond immediately in cases of natural and social disasters.

Providing Shah with a reliable vehicle will ensure sustained access to safe drinking water for thousands of families in the most remote areas of Bangladesh.
