Shah is an environmentalist and social entrepreneur based in Dhaka, Bangladesh where he is currently running a social enterprise called Footsteps Bangladesh which addresses social challenges in the fields of environment, health, and education with a vision of transforming community mentality from aid dependency to self-reliance. Footsteps Bangladesh is currently impacting over 100,000 people in Bangladesh through 15 different social ventures and campaigns. Shah received mentorship from former US Vice President Al Gore on Climate Leadership and after completing his degree on Environmental Economics and Policy from Pennsylvania State University in 2018, he went back to Bangladesh to empower communities through Footsteps Bangladesh. Shah is the recipient of the Diana Award 2020 for his contributions in the development sector across Bangladesh, was honoured as one of the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia in 2022 and won a Global Citizen Youth Leaders Award in 2024.
